What the Service Does

Policies.life is a personal tool that scans your Gmail for insurance policy documents, extracts key details using AI, and displays them in a dashboard. It is designed to help you keep track of your policies in one place.

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the vault key you provide. If you lose it, your cached data cannot be recovered.
• You must have legitimate access to the Gmail account you connect. Do not use this tool on accounts you are not authorized to access.
• You understand that the AI extraction is automated and may occasionally produce incorrect results. Always verify important policy details (like expiry dates or coverage amounts) against your original documents.

No Warranties

Policies.life is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be available at all times or without interruption
• AI-extracted policy data will be 100% accurate or complete
• All insurance emails in your inbox will be found and processed
• The service will be compatible with all email formats or PDF structures

Limitation of Liability

Policies.life is a convenience tool, not a substitute for reviewing your actual policy documents. We are not liable for any losses, missed renewals, or decisions made based on information displayed by this application. Always refer to your original policy documents for authoritative information.

Data and Privacy

Your use of Policies.life is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we access, process, and store your data. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described there.

Google API Services

Policies.life's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum permissions needed (read-only Gmail access) and do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond providing this service.

Third-Party Services

This application relies on third-party services (Google Gmail API, xAI Grok API, Turso database). We are not responsible for outages, changes, or data practices of these third-party providers. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You can revoke Gmail access from your Google Account permissions. Any encrypted data in the database will remain but be inaccessible without your vault key.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
